Denis Kasakow

Associate Researcher

About

Denis Kasakow is a student assistant at the Chair of Process Management and Information Systems at the Department of Computer Science, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and an Associate Researcher in the research group “Security and Transparency of Digital Processes”.

After completing a dual bachelor's degree in computer science at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, he is currently finishing his master's degree in computer science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, with plans to pursue a doctorate.

His research develops new methods and algorithms for predictive process monitoring, drawing on an interdisciplinary connection to questions of fairness. He finds the challenge of detecting and removing unfair patterns in the underlying data particularly compelling, in order to promote fairness in how that data is subsequently used.
