Camilla Salim Wagner
About
Camilla is a political scientist and part of the organizing team of the Data Workers’ Inquiry, where she supports community driven research into the labour that fuels AI. In partnership with data workers, her work highlights the need for decent working conditions, documenting and analyzing exploitative labour practices, and supporting grassroots organization to influence public discourse and policy.
She is a research intern at the Distributed AI Research Institute and associated researcher to the "Data, algorithmic Systems and Ethics" research group at the Weizenbaum Institute. Her broader interests encompass the challenges of regulating labour and technology in the face of globalization, and promoting technological development that aligns with the public good and considers its socio-economic impacts in the Global South.
