Prof. Dr. Benjamin Raue

Former Research Fellow

Benjamin Raue studied law in Hamburg and Bordeaux. He wrote his dissertation and habilitation thesis at the University of Kiel. Since 2016 he is professor for private law, law of the information society and IP law at the University of Trier and since 2019 director of the Digital Law Institute of Trier (IRDT).

Benjamin Raue will join the Weizenbaum Institute in November and December as Fellow and conduct his research on freedom of speech on social media platforms and the significance of EU fundamental rights in copyright law.
