Fellowships

The aim of our fellowship program is to attract national and international researchers of all career stages to Berlin in order to establish and maintain successful long-term research projects and collaborations.

Visiting Fellows at the Weizenbaum Institute

The Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society is pleased to invite both junior and senior researchers to apply for research fellowships in 2021 and 2022.

Visiting fellows work at the Weizenbaum Institute for one to six months pursuing their research alongside one or more host research groups at the Institute. The overall aim is to facilitate joint projects and publications. We offer an inspiring multidisciplinary research environment with access to several leading research institutions – and thus the opportunity to work in Berlin, one of the most attractive and dynamic cities in Europe.

Step 1: Financing and Availability

Please contact one or more research groups in your area of interest to clarify in advance whether there is an opening for a fellowship: Contact research groups.

Step 3: Review and Feedback

After your application has been reviewed, you will receive feedback from the research group(s) as well as further information on the administrative process, if applicable.

Please note: Your application should include clearly defined objectives for your stay (e.g., publications, grants) and fit into the Institute’s overall research program. If applicable, please indicate whether you would like to apply for an affiliation with several research groups.
