Miriam Nagels

Former Associate Researcher

Miriam Nagels joined the research group “Digitalization and Networked Security“ as an associate researcher in May 2023. Her current work focuses on knowledge transfer to policy and policy research as well as risk and crisis communication in different global contexts and scenarios.  

Miriam Nagels studied History and Culture of the Near East with a focus on Islamic Studies at the Free University of Berlin and Sabanci University Istanbul as well as International Security and Law at the University of Southern Denmark. She focused on issues of international cooperation and international law, (international) norms on peace and security, and approaches to conflict transformation. In the past, she has worked at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) and the Goethe-Institut Morocco. She has also worked at the EU Delegation in Rwanda and the German Consulate General in Mumbai.
