Dr. Eiermann has held the position as Head of Administration of the Weizenbaum Institute since January 2018. Prior to this, she was Managing Director of the Profile Division for Cyber Security Research at the TU Darmstadt from 2015 to 2017. Previous positions in science management in the field of IT and digitalisation included working as a scientific advisor in the field of information and communication technologies at acatech – National Academy of Science and Engineering, and as a management consultant and coordinator of a transatlantic innovation research program at the Hasso Plattner Institute for Software Systems Engineering at the University of Potsdam.
Dr. Eiermann studied Economics and Chinese in Berlin and Chengdu (PR China). This was followed by a master's degree in East Asian Studies as a Fulbright Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis (USA) and a doctorate in philosophy at Humboldt University Berlin as a fellow of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
