Finn Klessascheck

Associate Researcher

Finn Klessascheck has studied IT Systems Engineering at the Hasso Plattner Institute at the University of Potsdam. Currently, he is a doctoral student at the TU Munich, Campus Heilbronn, in the Information Systems research group.

At the Weizenbaum Institute, he is researching repetitive and cyclical behavior, which is widespread in business processes. For example, therapies and medications are regularly administered to patients until a certain state of health is reached. In agile software development, the development cycle is repeated until a certain product state is reached. The concepts in process modeling as well as analysis are limited to document and analyze these structures in an understandable way. In this project, new concepts and techniques will be developed to make cyclic structures in business processes transparent and to analyze them.

At the TU Munich, he is researching in the field of business process management, as well as process mining, which is a sub-field of data mining. His main research interest is the combination of business processes and sustainability aspects through data-driven analyses and consideration of laws and regulations. Further, he is researching how regulatory constraints can be handled and assessed with data-aware methods, especially in the area of healthcare and sustainability.
