Dr. Guadalupe Moreno
Person
Guadalupe is a postdoctoral researcher at Goethe University Frankfurt, working at the intersection between economic sociology and international political economy. Her research seeks to understand how contemporary money works, especially its hierarchical and disciplining effects on the global peripheries. Her broad research interests include studies of money, financial crises, central bank policies, social inequality, and qualitative and mixed methods.
Before joining Goethe University, Guadalupe completed her doctoral studies at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies under the direction of Prof. Jens Beckert. She was also a visiting researcher at McGill University (Canada)
