Prof. Dr. Christian Pieter Hoffmann

About
Christian Pieter Hoffmann is a Professor of Communication Management and Political Communication at the University of Leipzig. During his stay at the Weizenbaum-Institut, he focused on the online political participation of women, the role of feminist attitudes as a psychological resource, and the negotiation of privacy boundaries.
Christian’s research focuses on online political participation, political uses of social media, and the role of privacy concerns. Another research interest of his is strategic and financial communication. He has a background in business administration and political science and completed his PhD at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Christian is the Co-Director of Center for Digital Participation, Leipzig, and Director of the Center for Research in Financial Communication.
