Norma Möllers

Former Research Fellow

Norma Möllers is Assistant Professor of Sociology at Queen’s University in Canada. Drawing on science & technology studies and political sociology, her work explores processes at the intersections of science, technology, and politics. Her broader interest is to understand the roles of science and technology in state-making and maintaining and vice versa. During her fellowship at the Weizenbaum Institute, she conducted research on her current project on cybersecurity which is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). This exploratory project investigates how global information infrastructure challenges foundations of state power, how states materially and symbolically respond to these challenges, and how institutional boundaries are reconfigured in the process.
